3. Lohaghat

Lohaghat is located on the bank of river Lohawati which is at the distance of 14KM from Champawat. This place is famous among tourists for its mythological importance and splendid beauty of nature.

4. Mayawati Ashram

This Ashram is located at a distance of 9km from Champawat and is having beautiful surroundings that attract a huge number of devotees from all around the world. In the year 1898 when Swami Vivekanand visited Almora at that time, he decided to sift the publication office Named Prabuddh Bharat to Mayawati, which was then located in Madras.

5. Vanasur ka Kila

This fort is located at a distance of 7KM from Lohaghat. The fort was constructed in the memory of Banasur during the medieval era. Banasur was the son of King Bali who was having a thousand arms and got slayed by Lord Krishna. Vanasur ka Kila offers a Magnetic view of the mighty Himalayan Peak.

6. Abbott Mount

Abbott Mount attracts the tourist having a keen interest in history and also some catholic devotees. Abbott Mount is Located at an elevation of 6400 feet above sea level and is a solitary hill Station. The prime attraction of this place is Abbott Mount Chruch that was constructed in the year 1942.

This church just opened twice a year and remains closed the rest of the time. This place is having a building of Colonial architecture style, there are 13 Cottages that were constructed before the independence and are named after John Abbott, who discovered this place.

7. Kranteshwar Mahadev Temple

This temple is located on the eastern hilltop and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is also known as the shrine of Lord Kurmapad and Lord Kandev by the local people. The temple is located at an altitude of 61 hundred meters above sea level.

8. Nagnath Temple

Nagnath Temple is one of the oldest temples which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is visited by a large number of devotees from all around the world. This temple was constructed in the 18th century by a sage named Guru Gorakhnath. This temple was slightly destroyed by Rohillla invaders and the Gurkha's but later on, it was restored again.
