Places to Visit in Manali

1. Hidimba Devi Temple

The temple is in old Manali. It is situated near the town’s Mall road. Hidimba Devi is considered the deity of Manali. The temple is located within the forest. The temple is believed to have been built like a cave structure in the 16th century and hence is an ancient temple.

The temple top is a four-tier pagoda-style structure rising to compete with the height of the tall trees growing around it. As per the tale from Mahabharata, the Hindu epic, the demon Hidimba was one of the wives of Pandav Prince Bhima and the temple here was built to worship her. The serene and mystic aura lures the tourists from far & wide.
