1. Triveni Sangam
Triveni Sangam is the confluence point of three holy rivers; Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. This is a major attraction and the most sacred place in Prayagraj there are various festivals and fairs that are celebrated here. The world-famous Kumbh Mela is also organized at this place every 12 years where Ardh Kumbh Mela is organized every six-year. During this Kumbh Mela, lots of devotees and pilgrims gathered at this place from each and every corner of the world. People believe that having a bath in that holy water washes away all the sins they have done in their entire life.
This beautiful complex of Khusrobagh is located near Prayagraj Railway Station. This garden is constructed in Mughal architecture. In this Bagh, there are three mausoleums that are made up of sandstone for paying tribute to Shah Begam, Neethar Begum and Khushrau Mirza who were the Mughal Royal that were related to Jahangir. This bagh is designed in the same manner as Fatehpur Sikri. Calligraphy can be seen on the domed roof that is done by rulers' best calligraphers.
Swaraj Bhawan was transformed into the headquarters of the Indian National Congress in 1930. So due to this Moti Laal Nehru had to buy a different mention where he and his family could stay and that mention was known as Anand Bhawan. Today this place is considered as a house museum and also Jawahar Planetarium. Moti Lal Nehru wanted to decorate this place like the original Swaraj Bhawan so he decided to decorate it with the delicate quality of China and European furniture. This mention was donated to the Indian Government by the late Mrs. Indira Gandhi in the year 1970.
This Allahabad Museum was established in the year 1931 and is the grand museum of India. It is having artifacts that belong to the modern historical period of India. There is a Rock Art Gallery that is located in this museum which belongs to pre pre-historic period. The solar power system is used in this Museum for support.
This Planetarium is located beside the Anand Bhawan that was constructed in 1979. This place is a perfect blend of science and history. Jawahar Lal Nehru memorial lecture is also held in this place each year. You should visit this place if you want to learn about the movement of the planet. The architecture is very mesmerizing.
This fort was constructed in the year 1583 by Akbar as he was really impressed by the aura of this Place. This fort is located at the confluence point of River Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. The architecture given to this fort is Mughal architecture. This fort was declared as the monument of National Importance by the Archaeological Survey Of India.
This park is spread in the area of 133 acres which is located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This park is also known as the Company Bagh or Alfred Park during the rule of the East India Company. This Cathedral is also known as Patthar Girja by the local people of Prayagraj. This Gothic church was constructed in the 13th century by the Britishers. Design and architecture were given by Sir William Emerson in Anglo Indian Style. This Church took four years to finish the construction from 1871 to 1887. This church can accommodate around 400 people at a time.
Swaraj Bhawan was owned by Motilal Nehru and was his place of residence till 1930 but later it was converted to the Headquarter of the Indian National Congress. This place is managed by Jawaharlal Nehru Fund that is located in New Delhi. This Bhavan has 42 different rooms and massive green Sprawls. In this place, you can also pay tribute to our freedom fighters.
This temple is also named as Lete Hanuman Mandir. This temple is having a huge pit where the idol of Lord Hanuman was in a lying position. This is the only temple where the idol of God is kept in a reclining position. Another major attraction of this temple is the big statue that is half immersed in the Holy River Ganga.
This New Yamuna Bridge was constructed in the year 2004 to reduce the traffic on the Old Naini bridge. This is a strong bridge that is constructed over the river Yamuna. You can have a splendid view from this bridge and can also take a beautiful picture while cruising on this Yamuna river.
This is one of the oldest temples located in Prayagraj that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The major attraction of this place is the magnificent statue of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. There are beautiful carvings on the pillars of this temple. On the walls of this temple, various Hindu mythology is depicted.
This Clock Tower is also called as Chowk Ghantaghar by the local peoples of Prayagraj. This clock tower was constructed in 1913 in the Indo-Mughal style of architecture.
