This?Kedarkantha trek?will be starting from Sankri which is the base camp where you will be staying in a guest house / homestay. You will be picked up from?Dehradun?and will be dropped at Dehradun via Mussoorie on the last day. Three days stay will be in a tent on Double sharing and two days stay will be in Homestay. You will be trekking through Juda-ka-talab, Kedarkantha base camp, Kedarkantha peak, Hargaon and then back again to Sankri, the starting point.

Summer
During the summer months the day appears to be sunny and pleasant but the night remains cold so if you want to plan at this period of time then you need to carry some light woolens. the temperature during this period of time ranges from 18°C to 8°C.
Winter
During the winter season the area experiences heavy snowfall and the nights become extremely cold. The snowfall starts during the end of December month and ends till the mid February month. During this period of time the temperature ranges from 8°C to minus 5°C. During the winters month the track can be enjoyed best as it is less populated at that period of time so you can plan it during anytime from January to February month.
Monsoon

How To Reach
By Rail
Dehradun railway station is the nearest railway station that is connected to the major cities of India like Delhi, Howrah, Lucknow, etc. From the railway station, you can hire local bus private vehicles for a taxi to reach Sankri which is the base camp for the trek.
By Road
There are many government buses, taxis, and that run from Delhi to the Dehradun bus stand. On reaching Dehradun you can take a local bus to Dehradun Railway station and from there you will be picked up in Tata Sumo or some similar category vehicle. The total distance between Dehradun and Sankri is around 200 km which can be covered in the time period of 10 hours.
By Air
Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport located in Dehradun. From the airport, you can hire any local vehicle for a cab to reach Dehradun pick up point, then you will be picked up in Tata Sumo or similar vehicle.
Best Time Kedarkantha Trek
The best time to go on kedarkantha Trek is during the winter months from December month to April month. At this period of time the part will be covered with snow which makes it more adventurous and thrilling one. Even if you will track from sankri to Juda ka Talab you can witness snow on your way. During this period of time the sunrise appears heavenly at kedarkantha peak.
Points to be taken into consideration
You need to have a trekking stick without that you can't Move in the mountains.
Altitude sickness is a condition that can happen so if you experience any symptoms such as minor headaches, general discomfort or nausea then you? can directly contact the trek leader. Each campsite is having stretches, oxygen cylinders, and other medical facilities.
If the weather conditions become unfavorable during the trek then the decision of trek guides and trek leader is final and you need to follow it.
If you are having any minor or major injuries during the trek then you can contact the trek leaders as they are certified wilderness First Aid responders, and there are stretchers on each campsite on which you can be taken to the nearest medical center.
Walkie talkie will be used for communicating from the camping sites to the base camp as there are no networks available in cellphones.
No tight on body-hugging clothes are allowed.
You need to wear light clothes which can dry easily.
Your body should be fully hydrated and you need to carry a water bottle along with you on the trek.
A pair of raincoats should be taken along on the trek.

Que: who will go along on the trek and who will lead?
Ans:?There will be a trek leader who will be having a certified course degree for basic and advanced level of mountaineering. Other than him there will be a cook, porter, local guide, helper, and other persons.

Ans: there is no limit for a customized trek group but for the fixed departure at least there should be 15 to 16 people in a single group to go ahead with the trekking plan.

Ans: yes this trek is fully safe for the female trekkers as the male and female ratio is taken into consideration before starting the trek. Separate camps are provided to the group of girls so that they can be comfortable.

The right to change amend or modify the itinerary of the tour at any time. We will notify you with such changes in prior over the phone or through the mail or the best communication method available at that point of time. Those changes may occur due to situations beyond our control like weather problems, cancellations of trains, flights, and political unrest, etc. We will try our best to keep the tour unchanged. However, any compensation or any refund due to such changes will not be paid by us.
Hotel Bookings
Hotel bookings are made by us on behalf of our customers. We are having a tie-up with many hotels. Although all rates are updated on our website, still there are chances that the rates of Hotels may go up/down. Sometimes rates of the hotel are hiked during long weekends and during festive seasons. It is better that you confirm the rates before making an online payment over the mail. The quality of the room, amenities or meals which are displayed in photos on hotel websites may vary. Booking of the rooms on the same floor/adjacent rooms/ non-smoking rooms in any hotel is not guaranteed. The right to change the pre-booked hotel or the category of rooms is reserved, anytime during the tour due to overbooking of a hotel, blocking of the sewage, electricity/water failure, etc.

Early check-in and late checkout will be charged extra and are subject to the availability of the rooms. Policies for accommodating children and for extra beds may vary from hotel to hotel.
Vehicle Bookings
Vehicles are booked on behalf of our customers. We aim to provide the best available vehicle with the best services to our clients. The costs of diesel/petrol prices, interstate taxes, vehicle maintenance cost, toll & taxes, etc are beyond our control. Rates displayed on our website are eligible for change at any time without any prior notice.
The pre-booked vehicle can be changed to a similar category of vehicle in case of non-availability of the pre-booked vehicle.
Air-conditioned, as well as non-air-conditioned vehicles are booked as per request. If the air conditioner stops working due to technical fault at any time during the tour will not be our responsibility. No refund or change in the vehicle will be made in between the trip unless the vehicle is not in the condition to go further.
Amendments or changes after booking
If you wish to do amendments or change the prior booking, you have to inform us in writing on mail.
Amendment or changes in any booking will be treated as a new booking and will be subject to availability at that time and the additional cost will be charged. The additional cost will be borne by you. There will be an amendment charge of Rs.1000/- applicable.
Cancelation of the booking will be informed to us in writing on mail. The cancellation charges will be applicable depending upon the services. Cancellation of the hotels and airlines will be done according to their own cancellation policies.

Balance Payment
The complete balance payment has to be made before the starting date of the trip. However, the company can ask you anytime to clear the balance payment before 30 days from the date of departure.
The right is reserved to amend/change the prices offered for the tour and to adjust our charges due to various factors like currency fluctuations, special/high season charge levied by the suppliers, fuel price rise, travel arrangements, hike in any government taxes or visa amounts or for any other reason before the date of departure. All such increased prices must be paid before your departure (Full and final).
No refund for unutilized services
There will be no refund or compensation provided for services that are not used. If you fail to avail/use any services due to any reason the company will not provide any kind of refund or any other services as compensation of the unutilized services.
Early morning meet and greet with the representative at the Dehradun airport / railway station and drive toward Sankri (prefer the night journey from Delhi to Dehradun). This is a tiring 10-hour long journey that will take you through the beautiful view of the majestic mountain. On arrival for overnight stay will be in a Homestay. In the evening time you can explore the nearby village. After that, have you dinner and overnight stay in the homestay itself.
On the second day of your trek you will be trekking from Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab which is approximately an 8 kilometre long trek that can be covered in the time duration of 8 hours. The path leading towards Juda-ka-Talab will pass through the beautiful forest of Deodar and oak trees. In the kedarkantha Trek, Juda-ka-Talab is one of the prime attractions and remains fully covered with snow during the winter months. While trekking you can witness some local peoples of that area and can also learn about their lifestyle. Also you can have the site of magnificent Himalayan range. On the way you can stop for lunch and can have Tea, Maggie and other such items. On moving forward, you will reach your final destination Juda-ka-Talab which is located at an altitude of 2700. From this point you can easily have the view of Swargarohini peak. Your overnight stay will be in the tent at Juda-ka-Talab.
The next morning after having breakfast and getting refreshed again your trek to kedarkantha base camp will start today's trek is approximately 4 km long. Kedarkantha base camp is located at an altitude of 3430 and is one of the best campsites throughout this Trek. While trekking on your path you will be passing through a ridge of oak trees and also witnessing some meadows and some huts made up of wood. On arrival at Kedarkantha base camp you will be having a magnificent view of Bandarpunch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag and Rang Lana peaks. During the night time you can have the view of Spectacular Milky Way, spend your night in the camp under the alluring stars.
The next day you will be waking up early in the morning, that is before Dawn to have a view of the fascinating peaks of Kedarkantha. After having breakfast in the camp you will be trekking towards the Kedarkantha peak . It will take around 2 hours to complete this trek and as the sun tends to rise the beauty of Majestic Mountain peaks gets enhanced. Here you can click some of the best photos of Himalayan ranges located in the surrounding. This place is also having a small Temple that is dedicated to Lord shiva and Goddess Parvati and at a few distance while you move upward there is a one more small temple which is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view of Kinnaur Kailash range, Yamunotri and Gangotri mountain range, Rupin range, Har ki Doon and other such passes. You can also have the panoramic view of Bandarpoonch, Black peak and Swargarohini peak from this pass. To have some refreshments you can have tea from the small stalls located at the pass. In the afternoon you will trek down towards the base camp and after having lunch you will be trekking towards Hargaon. By the evening time you will be reaching Hargaon and the night stay will be in the tents in Hargaon.
After getting refresh and having breakfast in the tent on the second last day of your trek you will be trekking towards Sankri, which was the starting point of the trek. On the way to Sankri you will be passing through to a dense forest of Pine trees. After trekking for 4 hours and covering the distance of 6 kilometres you will finally reach Sankri which is the last point of this trek your overnight stay will be in a Homestay. You will be having a delicious dinner and after that will get into your cozy beds.
This is the last day of your trek today you will be driven from Sankri to Dehradun by covering the distance of 200 km in approximate time of 10 hours. On the way towards Dehradun you will be having the site of Mori town, Purola, Tons river etc you will be taken to Dehradun through Mussoorie. Before ending your trip you can take a halt at Mussoorie to visit Kempty fall and can also have your afternoon lunch in some restaurants nearby. After that you will be transferred to Dehradun and left with the sweet memories of your trip.
